Structure

ESKA fiber is plastic optical fiber having a concentric double-layer structure consisting of a core of highly transparent polymethyl methacrylate polymer and a thin layer of special fluorine polymer cladding. As the clad has a lower refractive index than the core, the light ray entering at one end of a fiber progress through the core (by reflection), in a step-index mode, at the core/clad interface.

Feature of ESKA

  • ESKA has excellent light transmission properties.

  • There is little discoloration of the light passing through ESKA fibers.

  • ESKA is designed to ensure high and uniform transmission in the visible range of the light spectrum.

  • ESKA fibers are inexpensive as their application is labor-saving due to their excellent process ability characteristics.

  • ESKA fibers are flexible, resilient, tough and weather resistant.
